Keith Gunter has been a safe energy anti-nuclear activist for over 40 years, beginning with the Detroit Safe Energy Coalition (SECO) in 1978 and later working with Citizens Resistance At Fermi Two (CRAFT) in the 1990’s. He also promoted Detroit-area events for the D.C.-based Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS) and is a co-founding Launch Partner of Beyond Nuclear in Takoma Park, MD.
Gunter was a contributor to Detroit Metro Times on nuclear power and weapons-related issues for 20 years. He served as Co-Chair at Peace Action of Michigan for 17 years, where he is still a board member at large.
Keith Gunter was a co-founder of the Alliance To Halt Fermi-3 in 2012, served as Co-Chair for five years, and was elected as Board Chair in 2019. He is a retired telecommunications specialist with AT&T.
